This dress is quite beautiful. She is my THIRD Paysanne Midi length dress from HJ and I love herrrrr. The pattern is so versatile, can wear in a business setting or walking along the coast and cliffs of any city barefoot. Can layer this dress, or wear alone. Can wear with boots for a more wintery look, or with slides for a different more springy vibe. As with all of my other Paysanne dresses, I love the neckline, it is so unique and flattering. Absolutely timeless. I know I will be able to wear this dress for years and years and years to come, and that I will WANT to. I feel clean, special, and like I can accomplish anything in this one!

I have several regular and mini Paysanne dresses in linen and raw silk. I love the slimmer bodice of the new Heritage line - and I bought both colours/patterns! The length is suitable for those of us who are shorter, the fabric is transitional from spring to late fall, and the neckline makes it suitable for work, and the new slimmer fit is flattering (and not overwhelming as many other house dresses can be). The S/M was perfect for me at 5'2". And although I love the sleeve length, the tie is difficult to adjust as a single person. As with my other Paysanne dresses, this classic dress will be in my wardrobe forever and the new colours/patterns are a great addition to my wardrobe.

I purchased the Paysanne dress but in the mini version in dark navy blue this summer and it was well worth it. The sizing was spot on, the linen is so comfortable. I wore it while 8/9 months pregnant and even now postpartum, the size is still spot on. For reference I ordered my pre-pregnancy size which based on the chart was lg/xl, I’m a 36 bust, 33 waist and 41 hip. The length remained long enough even with my baby bump and hit just at the knee, I’m 5”4.

This is a great investment piece and summer/warm weather staple that will live in your wardrobe for many years. Thank you Harly Jae!
