I went back and forth on colors forever on this blouse before landing on the black. I’ve since purchased the white version too. I usually don’t buy black linen but this has become such a staple especially in the colder months. The fabric is amazing and the cut blends in so well with all my knits and dark bottoms. It’s so incredibly flattering as well, I’ve worn it on days where I don’t feel the best but this gives me a bit of a confidence boost
I really like this blouse! The linen is drapey and weighty and doesn't wrinkle as much as some linen. The sleeves are flouncy and romantic and the elastic cuffs are genius. The neckline and ruffle feels sexy. I took off a star because I personally wish the front was an inch or two longer. I am 5'10" with a very long torso and sized up to the L/XL from my usual small medium for extra length as suggested. The blouse is not too oversized in the larger size, but it is still a click short and I need to adjust the top to not show my stomach even with high rise pants. I would purchase every HJ top if they would accommodate long torsos!
In the photos this is such a pretty blouse but kept my fingers crossed that it would look just as good on me. Was over the moon when I received it! It is beyond stunning and really does feel like you are living in a fairy tale when wearing it. The collar and balloon sleeves are absolutely gorgeous. I purchased size S/M as it has a high/low hem moment and I wanted to make sure the front was long enough to tuck into pants/skirts. This was a perfect size for me. I can wear either XS or S/M in HJ tops and wear size 6US from other stores. Absolutely LOVE this blouse!
This is my very first black linen blouse. I typically purchase white linen (yes I have this in white and I love it dearly). I LOVE it in this colour. Its so very cozy and I love how even though it is loose and flowy, that it is still very flattering to my pear shaped body.
