I’m not sure when it happened, but my love for stripes slowly turned into an obsession with slightly kitschy florals… the kind you’d find in an untouched Italian grandmother’s villa.

This spring collection is still very harly jae. Anchored in colours and pieces you can wear anytime, anywhere.

But as the releases unfold, you’ll start to see a sprinkle of colour and pattern we haven’t really explored before. The kind that, to me, feels like vacation.

Like a quiet invitation to sit back and actually enjoy the moment.

Which is exactly what I’m craving right now… and maybe something we all need a little more of!

So these are pieces for a kind of escapism that still feels grounded. The kind that meets you where you are, but gently pulls you into summer.

Scroll down for all the fit information you’ll need to feel prepared for Friday’s launch!

FIT NOTES

You can use our general size guide for quick guidance on harly jae pieces. Approximate garment measurements and notes for each piece are below.

PRAIRIE DRESS

I first designed this piece back in 2021, in the first postpartum chapter of my life. We haven’t restocked it since.

There’s always a part of me that hesitates to speak about my body in that way, especially now raising a daughter… but at the same time, I think it matters to have those pieces for those days.

I designed this dress in a moment where my body felt different than what it had been. I wanted something I could put on that would simply float around me - in the prettiest, most feminine way - without needing to think too much.

The front tie allows you to cinch it as you please, and also helps keep bra straps tucked away.

The Whipped Butter version is lined, while the Espresso is not since the fabric is slightly heavier and crisper, so it didn’t need it.

I recommend ordering your usual harly jae size for the fit shown on the model. You can refer to the measurements if you’re considering sizing down.

BRODIE SKIRT

I wasn’t planning on adding a new skirt this summer… but then I came across this embroidered fabric and couldn’t pass on it. It’s quite substantial, which naturally led to a slightly different design.

She’s simple in shape, but the fabric does all the work: detailed, textured, and intricately beautiful.

The waistband is half elastic, which makes it easy to fit and wear.

Now… the elephant in the (fitting) room.

Yes, the fabric is slightly sheer.

I fully intended to line it, and we did try but the thickness of the embroidery made it feel too heavy and took away from the way the skirt moves. So I chose to let that go and lean into the versatility instead.

You can wear her as a more elevated swim cover-up for vacation, or add a simple slip underneath for more coverage day-to-day. Easy to find secondhand or at most basics retailers - a simple, flexible solution.

Order your usual harly jae bottom size.

ROCCO SCARF

This piece came from not wanting to let a beautiful fabric go to waste.

We had originally sourced this embroidery for our Étoile nightgown, but ended up going in a different direction. I couldn’t let it go… so the Rocco Scarf was born.

What I love most about it is how easily it elevates everyday pieces. Something as simple as our Casita pants instantly feels more considered with a scarf like this added in.

I’m always drawn to accessories that bring more versatility into a wardrobe - small additions that shift the whole feel of an outfit.

The fabric itself is really special… one you’ll likely hold onto for years!

We’re excited to release all three pieces this Friday at 10am PST, alongside our brand new website. xo
