    Join the harly jae Team: Part-Time Retail & Operations Associate
    Location: White Rock, BC

    harly jae is a women’s clothing brand rooted in sustainability, timeless design, and intentional living. Our White Rock retail space is also home to our headquarters, offering a unique environment that merges customer interaction with behind-the-scenes operations.

    We’re looking for a part-time Retail & Operations Associate who is passionate about slow fashion and ready to help us create an unforgettable experience for our customers while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Flexibility for weekday hours is essential, as we may adjust shifts depending on production arrivals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Retail Sales Associate Duties:

    • Deliver exceptional customer service, building meaningful relationships with our loyal customers.
    • Maximize sales by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable pieces.
    • Maintain a clean, inviting, and organized store environment.
    • Assist with merchandising to ensure the store looks its best.
    • Process transactions efficiently and accurately using Shopify POS.

    Operations & Backroom Duties:

    • Pack and ship online orders, including pre-orders, with care and attention to detail.
    • Receive new production arrivals and complete all related tasks:
      • Conduct quality checks, measure items, weigh products, and ensure inventory accuracy.
      • Organize and neatly store inventory in designated cabinets.
    • Organize and maintain the backroom, clothing, and supplies to optimize efficiency.
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless operations between retail and HQ activities.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Prior retail store experience, including customer service and sales.
    • Experience with shipping platforms and Shopify.
    • Familiarity with basic sewing techniques or knowledge is a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.
    • Enthusiastic about sustainable fashion, slow living, and intentional design.
    • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to multitask effectively.

    Availability & Hours

    • Must have weekend availability, with a preference for those available on Mondays as well.
    • Minimum of 10 hours per week, with flexibility for increased hours based on production arrivals and longer store hours starting in April or May.
    • Weekday availability may be required as production and shipping needs arise.

    Start Date: Mid-February

    Compensation

    • Starting wage is $20/hour minimum, with potential for more based on experience.
