I wear this jacket daily. My last jacket I had for 8 years so I decided it was time for an upgrade and am I ever glad I went with the Soller jacket. It is the most beautiful teddy brown and it goes with my entire wardrobe! It’s so stylish and functional, I love how big the pockets are! I bought an XS and I am glad I did because I like a closer fit. I can tell this jacket will last me many years.
This coat is well-named. It is definitely good for casual daily wear and has that beloved british bear cozy, but the boiled wool and styling details of the Soller give it something extra. I scooped it up because this version is a wearable dark chocolate colour. Styling tip if you live in cold climate (I'm in winter mountains right now): I wear it over a light liner puffer, so I get the warmth i need, but the outer layer is all style. Also I know this is a no-no in the official care instructions but I'm very experienced at hand-washing wool, and don't have a dry cleaner nearby--so I hand-washed in cold, using wool wash (Eucalan), NO agitation and cold rinse, towel-and-hang dry with some gentle re-shaping, then a quick steam--and mine looks great. I wouldn't advise it if you aren't willing to take that much care. But it's possible.
I have already worn this jacket a handful of times! I absolutely love that its wide arms are easy to put over top of a sleeved top. The jacket is so lightweight, but with it being wool it is warm and cozy. I wore this with a long sleeve and was comfortable in -15C!
I love that the pockets are deep and practical! The drawstring waist allows for a more fitted look and the length is perfect!
I ordered the XL/XXL and my measurements are: 45” bust, 40” waist and 50” hip.
