Here comes the final chapter of our Fall collection.
Just like the two chapters before it, Chapter Three introduces three pieces that are incredibly easy to wear and style, with fabrics that really do so much of the talking.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the fabrics we found for this collection, and honestly, it almost feels like they found me this season. The richness of the colours, the textures, even the blends themselves have felt really special. We’ve introduced wool into a couple of our woven pieces this fall, and I’ve been amazed by how much warmth and depth even a small amount can bring to a fabric.
The whole collection has felt very grounded to me. There are a lot of earthy tones and practical, everyday silhouettes, but always with that little touch of femininity that I want harly jae to bring to more utilitarian pieces. Things that can become real wardrobe workhorses, without ever feeling too plain but also without crossing into something so whimsical that it becomes difficult to actually wear in everyday life. Especially living in Canada.
In a funny way, this season has also felt like a bit of a return to my roots as a designer.
Maybe it’s because my daughter is starting kindergarten and (for the first time in many years) I suddenly feel like I’m “going back to school” too. We have somewhere to be every morning. We have to get dressed, leave the house and be there for the bell.
It made me think even more about designing clothes that make getting dressed feel effortless. Pieces that feel special, but still make sense for real life, changing weather, school drop-off, work, weekends, all of it.
Anyway, I’m rambling… :) Let’s get into Chapter Three.
The Cleo Blouse
First up is something completely new for us: the Cleo Blouse.
Cleo is slightly oversized, flowy and just meant to feel a little bit like a hug in blouse form.
There are beautiful gathers around the neckline, a button front and a flattering three-quarter-length sleeve. I love mine tucked into our Pierrot Pants, but I’ve also been wearing it loose with something softer and more relaxed, like our Casita Pants.
We’re offering Cleo in two very different fabrics.
The first is our Whipped Butter organic cotton batiste: the same fabric many of you already know from our Doll Blouse. The Doll has been one of our forever best sellers, and whenever I get the chance to use this fabric for a new design I’m excited about it.
It has a little bit of crispness when it’s new, which works so beautifully with all of Cleo’s gathers, and then softens more and more with wear.
The second is a beautiful red plaid in a 100% cotton gauze made in Japan.
When this little brand started in 2017 I truly would have never thought I would be introducing a red plaid into a collection but somehow this one makes perfect sense. It is incredibly soft, and the colours sit so beautifully beside everything else we’ve introduced this fall. I’m completely smitten by it.
For Cleo, I recommend ordering your usual harly jae size.
The Brodie Skirt
Next is the Brodie Skirt, a silhouette we first introduced for Spring 2026.
For a couple years, our Prairie Skirt was my go-to longer skirt shape, and I still absolutely love it, but I wanted to create something with a straighter, simpler silhouette without the tiered bottom of the Prairie.
Brodie ended up being exactly what I had pictured.
For fall, we made it in the most incredible wool and cotton blend. I’m telling you, the hand-feel of this fabric is so unique. It is incredibly soft, but still breathable, with just enough texture and weight. It feels almost magical.
I also love how many directions the fabric can go. Styled one way, the skirt feels a little more fashion-forward. Styled another, it has this beautiful cottage feel. It can really do both.
One of my favourite parts of both the Brodie and Prairie skirts is the half-elastic waistband.
From the front, you have a clean, flat waistband that sits beautifully against the body. At the back, there’s elastic, which makes the fit so forgiving and the skirt genuinely comfortable to wear throughout the day.
And, of course, it has pockets.
I have a feeling this one is going to become a fall favourite for many of you.
The Casita Cardigan
And finally, the Casita Cardigan is back.
We’ve made another small batch of our Heritage Stripe, which has been the best-selling Casita colour of Fall 2026 so far, and we’re also bringing back Poppy.
But the newest colour is this incredibly deep blue.
When I originally chose it from the swatches I had at home, I thought I was ordering a fairly classic navy. Navy always works well for us, and I knew it would pair beautifully with the Brodie Skirt.
Then the sample arrived.
It is so much more interesting than a basic navy. There’s an earthiness to this blue that I wasn’t expecting at all. It’s deep and grounded and somehow works like a neutral.
I didn’t expect to be this taken by a blue jersey, but it has completely stolen my heart.
The way it has slipped into my own closet so easily is probably the best way I can describe it. And because I know so many of you gravitate toward the same sort of palette I do, trust me when I say this blue will pair beautifully with all of those neutrals (and not-so-neutrals) you already own.
You might want to look at videos of the colour on Instagram so you can more accurately picture its beauty... blue is always so hard to photograph!
