    For SS25, I embraced lightness — in both spirit and form. The silhouettes remain true to the harly jae way: flowy yet feminine, designed to move with you. But this time, the palette shifts. It feels like a deep breath after winter — brighter, softer, sun-kissed. A gentle invitation to step into the present.

    Pastel reminds us that beauty isn’t something to be saved for later. Dressing intentionally is about choosing joy now, about celebrating each day as it unfolds.

    This season also marks a shift in my creative process. Working with deadstock fabrics has opened up a whole new world. The limitations of using what already exists have, in an unexpected way, brought me more freedom. Without the pressure of curating a neutral palette from scratch, I found myself drawn to colours that feel alive. Shades that tell stories. Tones that hold emotion.

    And in this newfound creative space, I leaned into the styles that have always made me feel most at home — dresses that move effortlessly with the body, feminine silhouettes that celebrate softness, and for the first time, new patterns that bring an extra layer of playfulness to the collection. Each piece is an invitation to step into the season feeling light, free, and fully yourself.

    And maybe it’s just coincidence that my brightest, most colourful collection comes at a time when I’m preparing to say goodbye to the woman in my life who has loved bold colours most. Or maybe it’s not. Maybe, in some quiet way, this is how I carry her love for vibrancy forward. A way to honour her by seeing the world in colour, the way she always has.
